Photography through the Lens of St. Louis at the Central Library

Few people know that St. Louis was at the center of the rising popularity of photography in the mid-1800s. This is why the Central Library has put together an exhibit showcasing the photography work of Enoch Long, the Parrish sisters (Williamina and Grace), Jessie Tarbox Beals, J. C. (Julius Caesar) Strauss, and the father-and-son team of Albert J. and Albert W. Dubach. Go back in time and see how St. Louis and her people have changed through these pictures, whose subjects are forever frozen in time.

This event runs from Feb 8 to May 20, 2016 at the Central Library. The exhibit is open Monday through Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The exhibit is closed on Sundays.
